Noted Winemaker Greg Bjornstad joins Copeland Creek Vineyards

Spring 2007

We are extremely proud to welcome Greg Bjornstad into the Copeland Creek Vineyards family as our new winemaker. Greg believes that great wine is inextricably linked to the quality of the vineyard, and has spent his career growing ultra-premium fruit and creating extraordinary wine. Greg has been rewarded for his excellence over the years, earning a Wine Spectator Scholarship as well as the coveted Chateau Lafite Rothschild internship. Before joining us, Greg worked with the world-renowned Joseph Phelps Vineyards as their Viticulturist, and at Flowers Vineyard and Winery as Vineyard Manager and Assistant Winemaker where he shared in the top award as Wine & Spirits Magazine’s “Artisan Winery of the Year” for an unprecedented two years in a row. He has just released the first vintage of his own label, Bjornstad Cellars, focusing on two vineyard designate Chardonnays and two vineyard designate Pinot Noirs.

With Greg’s expertise in both Bordelaise and Burgundian varietals, we are very excited about the future of our Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meritage wines!
