2004 Copeland Creek Vineyards Pinot NoirThe rocky, well-drained hills sloping up from Copeland Creek provide an ideal terroir for this classic Pinot Noir. Morning fog and afternoon breezes drift inland from the Sonoma Coast to cool down the summer heat for longer maturation of the varietal fruit character. Earthy black cherry, raspberry and spice notes layer with supple, velvety smoke to form a complex balance with a long finish. This elegant wine compliments either rich or subtle flavors and is eminently drinkable all on its own. “... A medium bodied Pinot Noir of great breeding. Cherries, plums, nutmeg, cinnamon and sweet oak aromas draw you in. Red fruits dance on the palate and that telltale spicy cherry finish that Copeland Creek is known for lingers forever. A beautifully balanced wine of great complexity and elegance. Pick any superlative you wish.” – PinotFile, Volume 6, Issue 12; January 15, 2007 |

2004 Copeland Creek Vineyards ChardonnayGrown in sunny Sonoma County in our well-drained soil next to Copeland Creek, the flavor in these grapes fully develops in an extended season made possible by the cooling morning fog and afternoon breezes off the nearby Pacific Ocean. After fermenting and aging in 100% French oak barrels, our Chardonnay matures into a wine that is soft and bright, subtle and creamy. Layers of ripe fruit, oak, and butter promise a silky smooth finish in this engaging wine. Tasting NotesBeautifully structured with bright aromas of lemon butter, nectarine, pears and citrus. The mid-palate shows notes of custard, green apple, minerals and toast that continue to the well-delineated finish. |

Nectarine high notes with subtle oak undertones contrast with the wine’s otherwise Burgundian character.” – Bottlenotes |

2002 Copeland Creek Vineyards MeritageBright aromas of crème de cassis, black raspberry, tobacco and sweet oak. A mid-palate of blackberry, cocoa, black cherry, spice box licorice and supple tannins continues to the well structured finish. This complex Meritage opens up beautifully in the glass and will age well in the bottle. A blend of 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Cabernet Franc & 15% Merlot. |

2001 Copeland Creek Vineyards MeritageThe high altitude, steep slope and rocky, well-drained soil on top of Sonoma Mountain work together to create the distinctive terroir of our Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon in this classic Bordeaux blend. These conditions produce a low yield per acre with fewer bunches, smaller clusters and tiny berries. Once again proving that less is more, the result is a greater concentration of flavors—rich, ripe black cherry and soft tannins balanced by traditional French oak. This complex Meritage opens up beautifully in the glass and will age well in the bottle. Vintage 2001 44% Cabernet Franc, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot. Rated Exceptional. “Mint, bay leaf, and tarragon mark the fascinating aroma of this wine that has fine red-cherry fruit and complexity you usually find on Sonoma Mountain. Should age at least a decade.” – Dan Berger's Vintage Experiences, November 2005 |
